Bis 1898 wurde am Piesberg Anthrazitkohle und bis ins zwanzigste Jahrhundert Piesbergsandstein abgebaut. Zeitweise war der Piesberg der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Steinbruch Mitteleuropas. Im kleineren Rahmen wird an den Flanken des Piesbergs auch heute noch quarzitischer Sandstein abgebaut. Die \u00fcber die Jahrzehnte entstandenen Steinbr\u00fcche wurden seit der Mitte des vergangenen Jahrhunderts mit M\u00fcll verf\u00fcllt oder hinterliessen schlichtweg die in den Bildern erkennbar zerst\u00f6rten Landschaften.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fotografiert wurden diese Bilder als 360\u00b0-Panorama, um die Tr\u00fcmmerlandschaft umfassend widerzugeben, allerdings in einem Bildseitenverh\u00e4ltnis von 3:1, so dass die Bodenfl\u00e4che und der Himmel beschnitten wurde, denn eine interaktive Flashanimation war von vornherein nicht geplant.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hier eine \u00e4ltere Panoramaarbeit vom Piesberg nordwestlich von Osnabr\u00fcck.
